Málaga, the largest city on the Costa del Sol, is the natural centre of the region and the whole of southern Andalusia. It has half a million inhabitants and about 4 times as many tourists visit every year. The attraction is not only the weather - 300 days of sunshine with winter temperatures around 15°C - but also the sights. The history of the city dates back to the 8th century BC and it is still a cultural site today. Málaga is a friendly city with something for everyone.

What to see in Malaga?

What do we recommend to visit?

Take the time to visit at least one of the castles - Alcazaba or Gibralfaro. History enthusiasts will appreciate the remains of the Roman amphitheatre that can be seen directly below them. In high season, buy your tickets online in advance.

The cathedral and Atarazanas market are a must-see, as is the local bullring. A pleasant shade can be found in the local botanical garden.

For art lovers, a visit to the Pablo Picasso Museum is a must, while the Russian Museum and the Centre Pompidou will give you another dose of beauty.

Finish the day with a pleasant stroll around the harbour, sit in one of the countless pubs around the Plaza de la Constitución, or go flamenco.

We love Hammam, the Arabic baths. A visit is especially good in the cooler months when your feet are tired and a bit of relaxation and pampering is just the right reward. Booking in advance required!
